English media is reporting that Peter Moores is on the verge of being sacked as England’s head cricket coach.
The Guardian said on Friday that the decision would be made public early next week, and that former captain Andrew Strauss would be unveiled as the new Director of Cricket. Strauss would be expected to name a new head coach once his appointment was confirmed.
Moores is currently in his second spell as England coach. In 2009 he was sacked by the English Cricket Board (ECB) following his well-documented fallout with then captain Kevin Pietersen.
