Colombo - Bad weather delayed the start of the first one-day international between Sri Lanka and the West Indies in Colombo on Sunday.
The outfield and the pitch at the Premadasa stadium were covered at the scheduled toss time of 2 pm as persistent rain drenched the Sri Lankan capital.
More rain has been forecast for the rest of the evening.
Sri Lanka swept the preceding Test series 2-0. The three one-dayers will be followed by two Twenty20 games.
