Proteas, Kent draw

Cape Town - The Proteas drew their second warm-up match against Kent after failing to make any impact in the hosts' second innings in Canterbury on Sunday.

According to SuperSport.com, Kent were 105 without loss in their second innings when play was called off, with their captain Sam Northeast on 54 and Daniel Bell-Drummond on 48.

Earlier, the South Afrians were dismissed for 314 on the stroke of tea. Kent made 210 in their first innings.

The hosts fought back in the afternoon session, claiming the last five SA wickets for only 49 runs, but Jacques Ruldoph showed his form with a well-played 50 and JP Duminy contributed 34.

Charlie Shreck finished with 3-90.

Earlier, both Hashim Amla (77) and Jacques Kallis (54) retired for the visitors to give other batsmen an opportunity.
