Wet outfield delays start at Kingsmead

Cape Town - Overnight rain and a very wet outfield have delayed the start of the third day of the first Test between the Proteas and New Zealand at Kingsmead in Durban.

New Zealand are currently 15/2 after Dale Steyn removed Tom Latham and Martin Guptill.

South Africa scored 263 all out in their first innings.

Hashim Alma top scored with 53 while Temba Bavuma scored a well compiled 46.

Neil Wager was the pick of the New Zealand bowlers, picking up 3/47 in his 15 overs while Trent Boult ended with 3/45 in 21.4 overs.

An inspection of the outfield will be conducted at 12:00 although many patches on the recently relaid outfield have turned to mud so play seem unlikely until later in the day.
