Cape Town - Proteas opening batsman Dean Elgar took probably the catch of the series during Day 3 of the fourth and final Test against Australia at the Wanderers on Sunday.
LIVE: Proteas v Australia, Day 3
Elgar took a stunner in the deep to dismiss Australian interim skipper Tim Paine.
Paine, who batted with a hairline fracture of the right thumb, led from the front and hit a hard-fought 62 before Elgar's dive saw the Australians all out for 221.
The Proteas did not enforce the follow-on and as a result Elgar hurried off the field and did not have enough time to celebrate his breathtaking catch with his team-mates.
Could this be the catch of the series?
