Cape Town - David Miller appears to be out of favour with the Kings XI Punjab in the IPL this year ... and Dale Steyn wants to know why.
Considered one of the most explosive batsman in world cricket on his day, the 28-year-old South African has played in just two matches in the 2018 edition of the tournament.
Instead, Kings XI management have been backing the likes of Chris Gayle, Aaron Finch and Marcus Stoinis as the overseas batting options.
It didn't work out well for them on Monday, though, as Kings XI were bowled out for a paltry 88 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
That result leaves them in 5th place on the log, still very much in the playoff picture, after 12 matches.
Monday's shocking batting display prompted Proteas fast bowler Dale Steyn to question the role of Miller at the franchise.
"So why isn't Miller getting a game?" he asked on Twitter.
Former Proteas spinner Paul Harris also wanted to know.
"Can anyone tell me why David Miller isn't getting a game at the IPL?" he posted.
Miller has carded scores of 24* and 26 in his only two knocks so far in the tournament.
So why isn’t Miller getting a game? #justaskingforafriend

I mean, Leg spinner to a left hander. Middle overs, Miller is taking that on.

But I guess at this level everyone should be able to play leggies...
Can anyone tell me why @DavidMillerSA12 is not getting game time at the IPL??
