STATS: AB officially No 1 thorn in Oz's side

Cape Town - AB de Villiers' century in the first innings of the second Test against Australia at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth helped etch the prolific batsman's name into the annals of SA cricketing folklore.

Not only did De Villiers' unbeaten 126 go a long way to helping his side to a series-leveling six wicket victory, it was also a record sixth ton for the 34-year-old against Australia.

Prior to the Test, De Villiers was tied with Hashim Amla, Eddie Barlow, Jacques Kallis and Graeme Pollock on five centuries.
