Proteas' shocking stats in India

Cape Town - Thursday will see the start of the fourth and final Test between India and the Proteas in Delhi. The first ball is due to be delivered at 06:00 SA time.

The Proteas have struggled greatly to date on the pitches on the Subcontinent and the bad news is that Indian chief Ravi Shastri looks set to get his way with another wicket that is sure to make life difficult - if not impossible - for the South African batsmen.

The Proteas will be no doubt itching to get back on home soil and begin preparations for a summer against England.

But, for now, they must tackle the Indian spin challenge one last time.

It has been a damaging series for the Proteas batsmen and a look at the stats make for some sorry reading.
