Johannesburg - Former Proteas fast bowler Makhaya Ntini has a powerful message for cricketers who choose to involve themselves in match-fixing.

On Thursday it was revealed that former Proteas, Dolphins, Titans and Lions cricketer, Gulam Bodi, had been charged with "contriving to fix, or otherwise improperly influence aspects of the 2015 Ram Slam T20".
Ntini did not want to talk about those specific allegations, but he did have some strong words for anybody involved in match-fixing.
"They should never have been motivated. It's dangerous in the way that you can lose your livelihood. You can be jailed, you can lose what brings that bread and butter to your own table," said South Africa's third highest Test wicket-taker.
The warning that followed was compelling.
"If you have kids, you must know that you are not only killing yourself but you're killing those kids as well," said Ntini.
"They're going to grow up and be known for 'your father has done this and that'.
"The morals of your head, whatever you were thinking ... for me, to whoever is part of it, is really destroying the future of his own children."
