Mark Boucher to be a dad

Cape Town - Former Proteas wicketkeeper Mark Boucher and his wife, Carmen, are expecting their first child together.

Boucher, 41, played 147 Tests, 295 ODIs and 25 T20Is for South Africa before retiring in 2012 after sustaining a serious eye injury in a freak incident in England.

Boucher, the current Titans coach, still holds the world record for the most Test dismissals by a wicketkeeper with 532 - as well as 23 stumpings.

Carmen made the announcement on Instagram with a photo showing off her growing baby bump.

"So excited about this little one," she captioned the photo.

The couple tied the knot in July 2017 in Jeffreys Bay.

A source confirmed to Huisgenoot that Carmen is 25 weeks pregnant.
