Faf fractures finger, out for 6 weeks

Cape Town - Proteas star Faf du Plessis has broken a finger in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and will be sidelined for six weeks.

Du Plessis took to Twitter on Thursday to confirm the injury - and thank his IPL team, the Rising Pune Supergiants.

The Supergiants are currently in sixth place in the eight-team standings.

Du Plessis had been in super form for his IPL team, having scored 206 runs at an average of 34.33 in the six matches they have contested.

And so my Ipl tournament unfortunately comes to and end.Broken finger and out for 6 weeks.Thanx India and @RPSupergiants it's been fun.????
