Cape Town - Proteas opener Dean Elgar looks set to join former team-mate Morne Morkel for a county stint at Surrey.

The good news for South Africans is that he is not signing a Kolpak deal.
Numerous reports out of England suggest that Elgar will play for Surrey for around six weeks while Australia's Mitchell Marsh undergoes an operation.
This will not have any influence on Elgar's availability for national selection and he will be a part of the Proteas squad that travels to Sri Lanka for two Tests in July/August.
If the short-team move does materialise, it will be the second time that Elgar has enjoyed a stint at Surrey following his time there in 2015.
Morkel, meanwhile, has signed a two-year deal with the club following his retirement from all international cricket.
