Cape Town - A fine captain's knock by Faf du Plessis helped the Proteas post a competitive 204 for 7 in the second T20 International against Australia at the Wanderers.
Live: Proteas v Australia - 2nd T20 International - Wanderers
Du Plessis (79 off 41 balls) came to the wicket after the early loss of AB de Villiers (13) and received excellent support from Quinton de Kock (44 of 28 balls) and David Miller (33 off 18 balls).
With the Wanderers wicket playing flat and true, the Proteas looked a little short of runs at one point until Du Plessis punished Hastings in the final over of the innings, taking 20 runs off the first four balls before he was caught trying for another maximum.
A six off the final ball by David Wiese pushed the Proteas over the magical 200 mark.
James Faulkner (3/28) was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors.
