Cape Town - India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been suffering from viral illness for the past two days and is in doubt for the first of three Test matches against South Africa, starting at Newlands on Friday.

The BCCI confirmed via their website that they're monitoring Jadeja and are also in touch with the local medical team in Cape Town.

A decision on his availability for selection for the opening Test against the Proteas will be taken on Friday morning before the start of the match.
