Zim post competitive total

Cape Town - Zimbabwe have posted a competitive total in their tri-series T20 clash against the Proteas at the Harare Sports Club on Wednesday.

Zimbabwe, who won the toss and elected to bat, made 176 for four in their allotted 20 overs.

Openers Vusi Sibanda (58) and Hamilton Masakadza (55) starred for the hosts, while skipper Brendan Taylor also made a quick-fire 38 off 21 balls.

South African off-spinner Robin Peterson, who again opened the bowling, returned solid figures of 1 for 29 in his four overs.

Seamer Wayne Parnell produced a better display by taking two wickets for 33 runs in three overs. He struggled in Tuesday's match against Bangladesh when he conceded 61 off four overs.
