Rain delays play in Chittagong

Chittagong - Rain delayed the start of the fourth day's play in the first Test between Bangladesh and South Africa in Chittagong on Friday.

South Africa were 61-0 in their second innings after bowling out Bangladesh for 326 before rain and bad light forced early stumps on the third day at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

Openers Stiaan van Zyl and Dean Elgar were on 33 and 28 runs respectively, whittling down Bangladesh's first innings lead to 17.

The visitors were all out for 248 runs in the first innings.

The second and final Test will be held in Dhaka from July 30 to August 3.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
