Proteas unchanged for Zim

Cape Town - Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Tuesday named an unchanged Proteas squad for the one-off Test match against Zimbabwe next month.

“The Proteas have earned a vote of confidence,” commented CSA selection convener Andrew Hudson.

“We will be naming the ODI squad for the three-match series against Zimbabwe next week and will give consideration to resting a couple of players. We will, however, be sending our full-strength ODI squad for the following triangular series against Zimbabwe and Australia.”

The Proteas on Monday drew the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo which earned them a 1-0 series win. It also saw them return to the No 1 ranking in Test cricket.

The one-ff Test against Zimbabwe in Harare starts on Saturday, August 9.
