Proteas lose top rankings spot

Cape Town - Following their ODI series loss in Australia, the Proteas have lost their No 1 spot in the ICC rankings.

AB de Villiers's men have now slipped to No 3 on the rankings, behind second-placed India and leaders Australia.

India's recent 5-0 annihilation of Sri Lanka have seen them move up to second spot, while South Africa move down to third after losing the series to Australia 4-1.

South Africa's next ODI assignment is a five-game series at home against the West Indies in January.
