Proteas face busy Test summer

Cape Town - The Proteas will play two Test matches, five ODI’s and two T20 international matches against Pakistan during their tour to the United Arab Emirates in October and November this year.

This means that the Proteas will have a busy summer of eight Test matches ahead of them.

The official itinerary was jointly released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Tuesday.

“This will be the Proteas Test squad’s first series since February this year, and as the world leaders in this format, I am sure that there will be a huge sense of anticipation not just for supporters of the two countries but among cricket fans around the world," commented CSA Acting CEO Naasei Appiah.

“The two limited overs series will give us a very good idea of the progress we are making in the shorter formats with a view to next year’s ICC World Twenty20 and the ICC World Cup the year after that.”
