Johannesburg - The national selectors on Monday called Chevrolet Knights all-rounder Ryan McLaren up to the Proteas’ Standard Bank Pro20 squad for the two Pro20 International matches to be played against Zimbabwe at the OUTsurance Oval, Bloemfontein, on Friday and at the De Beers Diamond Oval, Kimberley, on Sunday.
He will take the place of Albie Morkel who is recovering from a side strain injury that he suffered while playing for the Chennai Super Kings during the Champions League T20.
“We are anticipating that Albie will be fit in time to take his place in the three-match MTN ODI series that starts next week,” commented selection convener Andrew Hudson.
