The home side need 39 to win off 20 overs.
15 Jul 18:31

Bangladesh 131/0 after 20 overs

Sarkar 73* (56)

Iqbal 46* (65)

15 Jul 18:28

DROPPED!

Nothing is going South Africa's way. Not sure if that we even dropped, Behardien just didnt get anywhere near it, he misjudged it so badly.

Sarkar aimed to smash Morkel over cover but only managed to sky the ball half way to the boundary. Behardien could not take the chance.

15 Jul 18:19

The last five overs have gone for 8.20 runs per over.

Can Abbott stop the bleeding as he returns to the attack.

15 Jul 18:18

SIX!

Length from Morkel, smashed over mid-wicket for maximum!  Sarkar is on fire!

15 Jul 18:14

Bangladesh 110/0 after 23 overs.

Sarkar 58* (45)

Iqbal 41* (57)

15 Jul 18:14

FOUR!

Sarkar continues to punish the South African bowlers as he lashes an overpitched Tahir delivery through the covers for another boundary.

15 Jul 18:09

50 TO SARKAR

Another poor ball from Morkel allows Sarkar to flick him away to fine-leg for another boundary. His half century comes off 41 balls including 8 fours.

15 Jul 18:08

Morkel returns to the attack.

Iqbal launches him over point, Behardien has a chance to try to dive in and take what would have been a spectacular catch, but he opts to take it on the bounce.

15 Jul 18:06

FOUR!

An even better shot from Iqbal as he advance and laces the ball through the covers. Tahir has gone for 27 in his four overs.

15 Jul 18:05

FOUR!

Full toss from Tahir, Iqbal drives him easily for a boundary.

15 Jul 18:04
More bad luck for Tahir as Iqbal edges the ball past Amla at slip for two runs.
15 Jul 18:03

FOUR!

Some luck for Sarkar as he just clears Abbott at mid-off. Tahir thought he had his man there.

15 Jul 18:02
Since November 2014, Bangladesh have played 19 ODI's, won 14 and lost 5.
15 Jul 18:00
All too easy for the home side, no real intensity from the Proteas however.
15 Jul 17:52

FOUR!

Iqbal advances and launches Duminy over midwicket for a boundary.

15 Jul 17:52
Huge appeal for LBW by Duminy against Iqbal. Not out!
15 Jul 17:49

Another fast start by the hosts.

Bangladesh 63/0 after 10 overs.

They require 106 to win from 30 overs.

15 Jul 17:46
Spin from both ends as JP Duminy enters the attack.
15 Jul 17:42

FOUR!

Too short from Tahir and Sarkar pulls through midwicket.

15 Jul 17:40

A very productive over for Bangladesh as Sarkar takes three boundaries in a row off Rabada.

Tahir into the attack

Bangladesh 55-0 after 8 overs.

15 Jul 17:36

FOUR!

Bangladesh continue to accelerate. Iqbal on-drives Morkel for four.

15 Jul 17:31

FOUR!

Iqbal joins the party as he steers Rabada down to wide third man for a well played boundary. That was not a bad ball but definately an excellent shot.

15 Jul 17:27

Bangladesh 26/0 after 5 overs

Iqbal 6* (15)

Sarkar 16* (15)

15 Jul 17:26

FOUR!

Too straight from Morkel and Sarkar flicks him to fine leg for a boundary. The fielder was up in the ring. Not great bowling from the returning Proteas bowler.

15 Jul 17:25

BEATEN!

Morkel beats the outside edge of Sarkar's bat.

  • Bangladesh win by 9 wickets (D/L Method) - Over 26.1 - BAN 170/1 (Tamim 61, Das 5) . It's all over as Tahir concedes a first ball FOUR! Das pulled that over square leg. Bangladesh win by 9 wickets (D/L Method) and with that the series 2-1. They outplayed South Africa today and this has been a good summer for them at home.

  • 26

It's spin from both ends again. JP Duminy comes back into the attack. FOUR! That's well played over extra-cover, by Tamim. It was a slow half-tracker. Tamim ends thye over with FOUR! This agin is over extra-cover. They are almost there.

  • 25

Wicket: Imran Tahir is back into the attack. What? He starts with three dot balls. WICKET! Oh Dear1 Soumya Sarkar c Amla b Tahir 90(75). Tahir spoils the perfect script, as Amla takes the catch. A consolation wicket and it won't matter. Litton Das, is in next.

  • 24

Rabada continues. Sarkar moves to 90 and with that he attains the highest score by a Bangladesh batsman against the Proteas. They need 16 and he needs 10.

  • 23

50: Abbott continues. A single off the first ball brings up FIFTY for Tamim! It's his 31st Half century. FOUR! Sarkar collects another boundary, this time to third man. He adds another couple to long on. Can he get to 100? It's FOUR to end the over and with that the 150 Partnership between these two. Well played.

  • 22

50: Kagiso Rabada is back into the attack. Shot! That is FOUR, over deep midwicket. You cannot bowls short to Sarkar when he is in this mood. They need 31 to win. Can they do it with 10 wickets?

  • 21

Kyle Abbott continues. It's a very good over and just three from it. There's only one problem. Bangladesh need 36 runs from 19 overs!

  • 20

Morkel continues. It's one of the better South African overs we have seen in a while. And just as we say it. DROPPED! Sarkar is put down by Behardien, as things continue to go the way of Bangladesh. Sarkar found the top edge and Behardien at cover misjudged it. This takes us back to that World Cup Semi- Final. DRINKS!

  • 19

Kyle Abbott is back into the attack. It's a good line and length from him outside the off stump. Sarkar spoils a decent over with a FOUR, to third man. The Proteas are just going trough the motions now.

  • 18

Morkel continues. Tamim takes a single and we have Nelson on the board, but not for long. SIX! Sarkar sends Morkel for maximum. Bangladesh need 51 runs to win. South Africa's only chance avoiding defeat here can be due to rain, but it will have to come in the next two overs!

  • 17

Tahir continues and we are not sure why. Sarkar sends him packing over deep extra-cover. Shot! Sarkar is on fire in this series. He is looking the business.

  • 16

100: Morne Morkel is back into the attack. They start with two singles and then he throws in a wide. Sarkar brings up the Bangladesh 100 and also the 100 PARTNERSHIP! Well played. Let's not forget that Sarkar has reached another half century! They are all over South Africa.

  • 15

Sarkar starts the next Tahir over with a FOUR! That was well driven and eludes the man at mid off. Tamim cashes in with another FOUR, to long off. It's FOUR more, to the same field position to end the over. They are making the Proteas look like school boys in these conditions. At this stage South Africa had 50/3.

  • 14

JP Duminy continues. This partnership is now at 81. Bangladesh now need 89 runs to win. They are halfway there and still have ten wickets in hand. It's three off this better JP over, but the damage has already been done.

  • 13

Tahir continues. Oh Dear! There we have it, The mandatory wide. Y O Y! It's another ordinary Tahir over. Bangladesh need 92 runs to win the Series.

  • 12

JP continues. There's an appeal for LBW but it is turned down. That was going down leg. Tamim advances and it's FOUR, to long on. Shot! Duminy tosses one up and Sarkar hammers it back to him. He stopped that, but he is in pain.

  • 11

Tahir continues and bowls the mandatory wide. How can they afford this when Bangladesh only need 102 more? Did they all have a nap during the rain? It's five from this Tahir over. This partnership is getting better and better.

  • 10

We now have spin from both ends as JP Duminy comes into the attack. He drifts down leg for a wide. It's just three from the over, but a very ordinary over indeed.

  • 9

Imran Tahir comes into the attack in search of that first wicket. He starts with a shorter delivery. FOUR! The next delivery is far too short and Sarkar sends him over midwicket. Poor Tahir! Bangladesh need 110 runs

  • 8

50: Rabada continues. WOW! Three boundaries in a row by Sarkar! That brings up the FIFTY, in the 8th over. The Proteas only managed to bring their 50 up in the 15th over. Sarkar is on fire! 14 off that Rabada over.

  • 7

Morkel continues. A mix batch from Morne here. Some outside off, some on middle and leg and the odd short one. It's 8 off the over as Tamim ends the over with a FOUR, to long on. Shot. That's a good way to end a over.

  • 6

Kagiso Rabada continues. He targets a shorter line outside the off stump. FOUR! Well timed and well played by Tamim. It was short and outside off and played past backward point.

  • 5

The Big Fellah, Morne Morkel is into the attack now. He starts on the leg stump, but recovers well to focus on the off side field he has. Sarkar collects a couple to midwicket. If he continues to bat like he did in that second ODI, they will be home soon. Morkel drifts down leg and pays the price, FOUR, to fine leg. Bangladesh need 144 runs to win.

  • 4

Rabada bowls another wide. FOUR! What a cover drive by Sarkar. That was slightly outside the off stump, but what timing. He adds three more, over cover. It was a tad uppish but he was never in trouble. Oh Dear! Another wide. You cannot bowl that if you only have 170 to defend.

  • 3

Abbott continues. There's a huge shout for LBW. It is turned down. That drifted down leg again and they take two as a result of a fumble by QDK. It's given as runs.

  • 2

Kagiso Rabada opens from the other end. We have two slips in place. He starts outside off and drifts just a bit to wide. It's a good start from Rabada and only 3 from it.

  • 1

Kyle Abbott starts South Africa's defence of 170 to Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar. He will have to bowl better than his showing in the first two ODI's. He drifts down leg and concedes a second ball single, to get Bangladesh off the mark. He continues on middle and leg and it's one more, as Sarkar open his account.

  • Bangladesh need 170 runs to win in 40 Overs D/L. - This has been the third time in three matches where the team winning the toss, decides to bat and cannot reach 170. The Proteas never realIy got started and only a 50+ Partnership between Miller and Duminy saved them from being bowled out earlier. It will be an interesting run chase and Bangladesh must feel that they have the upper hand.

  • 40

Wicket: Rubel start the final over to JP with a no ball. Lucky! The free-hit only goes for a single. The Proteas have not capitalised on the free-hits today. WICKET! Kyle Abbott b Rubel 5(10). The yorker does it's job. Morne Morkel walks in next in what is his 100th ODI. Another yorker is survived by Morkel and then we have a run out chance. Duminy was determined to face the last few balls. WICKET! Duminy c Litton Das b Rubel 51(70). Duminy slices it to point and departs with the final ball.

  • 39

50: Mustafizur Rahman bowls his final over. Abbott tucks him away for a first ball single. He is lucky to get away with a high no ball. It's FIFTY TO JP! This is his 21st ODI 50 and what a time for him to come up with the goods again.

  • 38

Shakib continues. He has the better of Abbott, who then manages to get off strike for a single, to long on. It's just 3 singles as Abbott retains the strike for the next over. Is that a good thing?

  • 37

Wicket: Mustafizur Rahman with 1/14 is back into the attack. Duminy drives into the covers, to start with a couple. They run well to take a quick single to third man. WICKET! Rabada b Mustafizur Rahman 1(5). Oh Dear.. They are falling apart now. The off-cutter does the work as Rabada misses that completely. Duminy may well run out of partners. Kyle Abbott is in next,

  • 36

Wicket: We now have only five overs left of the Proteas Innings. What will happen? WICKET! Behardien c S Rahman b Shakib 12(16). It's another purler from Rahman, this time at long on. He advanced and lofted that to long on. Rahman took it and chucked it back into the air as he was too close to the rope. Good work and follow up to take it on the second attempt.. Kagiso Rabada, walks in next. It's 150 UP!!

  • 35

Rubel continues to Duminy. Edged and FOUR! That beat the keeper but JP was always going to be safe. He then bowls a wide. Duminy tried to get hold of that, but to no avail. They continue the good running between the wickets as they manage 11 from this over.

  • 34

Shakib Al Hasan with 2/19 is back into the attack. It's good running by these two as they take any singles or two's on offer. Shot! That's FOUR, to Behardien over cover. He timed that well.

  • 33

We are now in the third Power Play. Rubel Hossain is back and starts his over with 3 wides. That went down leg and also beats the keeper and they add the extra runs. He then changes his line to outside the off stump. The rate is now at 3.94 per over. They need more!

  • 32

Mortaza continues to Duminy and it's FOUR, to long off. That fuller delivery, outside off, is well driven by JP. It's a better over as they take eight from it. They have only scored 29/1 in the last five overs. That will have to improve, soon.

  • 31

Farhaan Behardien, walks in as South Africa now only have ten overs left in their innings. Mahmudullah returns to the attack. He concedes three in the over. The Proteas will have to step up to the plate now!

  • 30

Wicket: FOUR! Duminy place a shorter delivery behind square. WICKET! D Miller c S Rahman b Mortaza 44(51). What a blow for Bangladesh. Mortaza also takes his 200th ODI Wicket. It was a good catch at backward point, after Miller followed a shorter wider delivery.

  • 29

Nasir Hossain bowls his 8th over. After three singles it's FOUR! It's a perfect drive over cover for a well needed Miller boundary.

  • 28

100: Mortaza is back into the attack. Miller brings up the South African 100! He collects two runs to square leg and follows it up with a couple more, to fine leg. It's also the FIFTY PARTNERSHIP between these two. Their team needed that from them.

  • 27

Nasir Hossain continues to David Miller. FOUR! This was faster and on the middle stump. Miller swept it through midwicket. DROPPED! Miller is put down by the keeper. It was a feint edge and should have been taken.

  • 26

Mustafizur Rahman continues. He beats Miller and almost uproots his off stump. How did that off cutter miss? Miller survives. He takes a single to short midwicket.

  • 25

Nasir Hossain continues. One can only assume that they will bat sensibly until the 30th over and then launch to get to a big score. Another tight over and only three rund off it.

  • 24

Mustafizur Rahman opens the attack after the long rain delay to David Miller and JP Duminy. He concentrates mainly on that off stump line. It's four runs from the first over after the break.

  • 13H15 GMT - The game will restart in 15 minutes and it will be a 40 over per side game.

  • Rain: The rain has stopped and the ground staff are working on clearing the ground.

  • 12H00 GMT - We have started loosing overs.

  • Rain: The rain has not subsided and is getting heavier. We may be in for a long delay.

  • 23

Rain: The pressure continues to build. Nasir Hossain concedes just three singles. The South African run rate is only at 3.39 and they have 27 overs left after this one, to put a decent score on the board. That's if they get their full allocation. It's raining and they leave the field at 10H35 GMT. We will keep u posted.

  • 22

Mahmudullah continues. He digs a few in short and also manages to mix up his pace a bit. They have restricted South Africa to just 21 runs in the last five overs. Good stuff!

  • 21

They continue with spin from both ends and why not. Yet another over with just a single in it. They are flying through these overs and the Proteas are not keeping the scoreboard ticking.

  • 20

It's a good comeback over from Mahmudullah. Just a single from it.

  • 19

Hossain continues with his third over. It's Miller time! FOUR, over deep square leg. Yet another successful sweep, as he attempts to get the run rate going.

  • 18

Mahmudullah continues to David Miller. FOUR! That was well swept over deep mid wicket. FOUR more! This time it's over backward square leg. Mahmudullah needs to get away from that middle and leg stump line. A good over for South Africa as they add ten.

  • 17

Nasir Hossain continues. It's only two singles off the over. They have only scored 17 in the last five overs, for the loss of two wickets.

  • 16

Wicket: Mahmudullah comes into the attack after the break. WICKET! Rossouw c Rahim b Mahmudullah 17(27). WOW! That's the third catch in a row for the keeper. It was slower and outside off, as Rossouw finds a bottom edge. Good catch! Now the cat is among the pigeons! They need a partnership and soon. JP Duminy joins Miller.

  • 15

50: Nasir Hossain, comes into the attack. Can he continue with that pressure on the Proteas? The third Umpire is in play now, for a run out appeal. Not Out! A risky run, but Rossouw is well in. It's FIFTY UP for South Africa, in the 15th over. DRINKS!

  • 14

Wicket: FOUR! Shakib delivers a shorter delivery on the leg stump. Rossouw pulls it over square leg. That was a rare gift from the bowling side today. WICKET! Amla c Rahim b Shakib 15(35). That's the 200th ODI Wicket for Shakib! The drop in the last over is not that expensive in the end, as they get the outside edge of Amla. The pressure got the wicket! It's MIller time! David Miller walks in next, with his team in a bit of a spot.

  • 13

Rubel continues. He bangs the first one in short, as Amla collects a single, to mid wicket. It's another tight over and only 2 from it. They are keeping the pressure on the Proteas. Something will happen soon, either way.

  • 12

Shakib continues and Amla starts the over with a couple, into the covers. That was a tad flatter and outside the off stump. DROPPED! Amla goes over cover and is put down by Sabbir. He got hands to it, but just could not hold on. Amla survives.

  • 11

Rubel continues. He beats Rossouw with a delivery outside the off stump that nipped away. He is lucky to have missed that one. They take a streaky single, but is safe. Rubel bowls a no ball to Amla. The free-hit is just a single into the covers. Lucky! The Proteas needed to capitalise on that no ball.

  • 10

Shakib continues. We now also have a leg slip in place. FOUR! Amla advances and flicks a fuller delivery, wide of mid on. He just clears the fielder after not timing it that well. They have only managed 30 in the first ten overs.

  • 9

We have a bowling change, as Rubel Hossain comes into the attack. We have two slips in place. FOUR! That was pitched up and too straight from the bowler. Rossouw placed it nicely, wide of mid on.

  • 8

Wicket: WICKET! du Plessis c Rahim b Shakib 6(17). Shakib strikes! Yet another South African wicket given away. It was tossed up and Faf went for the slog sweep and finds the top edge. The pressure has led to a wicket. Rilee Rossouw is the new man. They need to steady the ship now.

  • 7

Mustafizur Rahman, continues. Faf pushes for yet another single, down to third man. It's a good off stump line from Mustafizur Rahman. It's a very cautious start by South Africa today. They managed only 11 in the last 5 overs.

  • 6

We have a bowling change. Shakib Al Hasan, is into the attack, with a slip in place. It's a good start and only a single off it.

  • 5

Mustafizur Rahman bowls his third over. He beats Faf with a yorker length delivery, outside the off stump. He follows that up with an off-cutter, also on an off stump line. Good bowling! Faf is off strike, with a single to third man. FOUR! Amla pushes another off stump delivery, over cover. It was uppish but safe.

  • 4

Mortaza continues and he now changes his line to outside the off stump. Replays now show that Amla, may have had a feint edge in the previous over. He is lucky to survive and Bangladesh did not even appeal. It's 3 off the over.

  • 3

Wicket: Mustafizur Rahman continues and strikes! WICKET! as de Kock gives his wicket away. That angled in on the leg stump. He tried to flick at it, but missed. de Kock b Mustafizur Rahman 7(8). The first blow in this final ODI is struck by Bangladesh. Francois du Plessis, joins his captain.

  • 2

Mashrafe Mortaza, opens from the other end. He starts with a line on middle and leg and they add two singles. After a rather subdued start, QDK scores the first FOUR, square of the wicket. Shot! That was short and outside off. He retains the strike with a last ball single.

  • 1

Mustafizur, starts proceedings in the final ODI to Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock. QDK opens the scoring with a single, to third man. That was on a good length outside off and he just opened the face of the bat. A gully moves into place for Amla.

  • Team South Africa - Morne Morkel is in for Chris Morris......Hashim Amla(c), Quinton de Kock(w), Faf du Plessis, Rilee Rossouw, David Miller, Jean-Paul Duminy, Farhaan Behardien, Morne Morkel, Kagiso Rabada, Kyle Abbott, Imran Tahir

  • Welcome to Chittagong. - We go into the final ODI with a Series win on offer. Both teams have a game a piece, with one to play.
