A great last-wicket stand by Tahir and Morkel, worth 46 runs. It's also a South African record for the 10th wicket against Australia.
But it was never going to be enough. Someone had to bat through and score a big hundred, which unfortunately didn't happen for South Africa today.
They also weren't at their best in the field, bowling 13 wides and dropping 6 catches! It's remarkable to think that had South Africa just done the basics right today, they could have won...
But thanks for tuning in! Be sure to join us again on Sunday for the second ODI in the five-game series. Play starts from 05:20 (SA time).
