Horn back to help Proteas

Cape Town - Legendary South African adventurer and motivational speaker, Mike Horn, who has a phenomenal track record in inspiring sports teams to victory, will be used once again by close friend and consultant to the Proteas, Gary Kirsten, as part of the team's Cricket World Cup preparations.

In 2012, Horn took the Proteas on a team-building expedition in the Alps prior to their Test series in England. The Proteas, with Kirsten as head coach, went on to dominate England in their backyard to snatch the No 1 Test ranking.

The Proteas are now coached by Russell Domingo, but Kirsten still helps out from time to time as a batting consultant.

Horn on Thursday revealed to News24live that Kirsten has asked him to help the Proteas during their World Cup campaign early next year.

The 2015 Cricket World Cup, to be staged in Australia and New Zealand, will take place from February 14-March 29.
