AB rockets up Test rankings

Johannesburg - AB de Villiers has jumped up to 5th place in the latest ICC Test batting rankings following his South African record score against Pakistan at Abu Dhabi. It is the first time he has had a top 10 ranking in this format of the game.

The Proteas are well represented in the top 10 with Jacques Kallis at No. 4, De Villiers at No. 5 and Graeme Smith at No. 9. Hashim Amla (14) is also in the top 20.

Dale Steyn remains the highest ranked Test match bowler with Morne Morkel at No. 6 and Paul Harris at No. 15.

Kallis also retains his spot as the world’s highest ranked all-rounder.
