Port Elizabeth - The Standard Bank Pro20 semi-final between the Warriors and Eagles was washed out in Port Elizabeth on Sunday and will be replayed on Monday night.
The Eagles, having won the first leg of the semi-final by nine wickets in Bloemfontein, would have fancied their chances of winning on Sunday and clinching a place in the final as they restricted the Warriors to 117 for eight.
But before they could really get engaged in their run-chase, the rain arrived to ensure fast bowler CJ de Villiers would be denied the glory of leading the Eagles to victory.
De Villiers produced a top-class spell of 4-14 in his four overs as the Eagles maintained a firm grip on proceedings after winning the toss and sending the Warriors in.
Ashwell Prince lent some respectability to a sick-looking innings with his 40 off 29 balls, but the next highest score was no more than 16 from Robin Peterson.
Just eight balls were possible in the Eagles innings, Boeta Dippenaar scoring two runs, before the rain brought play to an end.
