Pakistan edge Oz in thriller

Dubai - Pakistan beat Australia in a one-over eliminator on the last ball Friday to win 2-1 in the Twenty20 international series.

After both teams were tied on 151 after 20 overs, Australia batted first and scored 11 in six balls.

Led by Umar Akmal and Abdul Razzaq, Pakistan reached 11 on the fifth ball before Akmal hit Patrick Cummins's last delivery and just made his ground before the throw.

Earlier, Pakistan captain Mohammed Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed put on a 76-run stand and Kamran Akmal teamed with Umar Akmal for a 46-run partnership. Razzaq also took two wickets, as did Saeed Ajmal.

Australia was led by the 40-run partnership between openers David Warner and Shane Watson.
