Cricket South Africa (CSA) CEO Jacques Faul has confirmed that Director of Cricket Graeme Smith will choose the winner for the One Day Cup and 4-Day Franchise Series.
The round-robin phase of the One Day Cup concluded last weekend with the two semi-finals originally scheduled to be played this week.
However, on Monday, CSA elected to terminate all forms of cricket in the country for the next 60 days due to the spread of the coronavirus around the world.
This effectively saw an early end to the One Day Cup - and the 4-Day Franchise Series which had two rounds of fixtures to play.

Faul said the former Proteas skipper will make a decision on who gets to hoist the two titles.
"We had to make an immediate call of the tournaments going on," said Faul on Wednesday.
"Graeme's Smith department will have a look at it... We have a little bit of time to distribute prize money and how we reward the winners... we'll apply some mind to it."
"We'll give all the difficult parts to Graeme so he'll deal with it," joked Faul.
Faul also revealed that Momentum, sponsors of the One Day Cup, were responsible for approaching CSA and asking for the tournament to be cancelled.
The Dolphins finished on the top of the One Day Cup standings with 30 points, while the Lions ended two points behind.
Meanwhile, as it stands, the Lions are top of the 4-Day Franchise Series table on 121.62 points with the Titans second on 113.16 points.
According to Faul, CSA will communicate the winners soon.
Faul, who is standing in as interim CSA chief executive, stated that there was no need for them to panic... for now.
"I don't want people to panic too much about our financial situation, there will be a negative impact but I'm sure we can mitigate it," he said.
"We've stopped activities at this stage and we'll play it as the virus develops. We'll look at the best practices around the world.
"We want to use sport as a voice. There will be a time again when we can celebrate as fans but for now be safe."
