Second century wins it for Knights

Cape Town - Opening batsman Rudi Second batted through the innings on his way to 135* as the Knights proved too strong for the Warriors in a Momentum One-Day Cup clash in Bloemfontein on Friday.

Second faced 146 balls in a knock that included 13 4s as the Knights finished their innings on a modest 252/5.

The Warriors' run chase was led by Colin Ingram, who was dismissed on 120.

But without any support for Ingram, the Warriors were left short of their target - going down by 13 runs.

Scores in brief:

Knights 252/5 (Second 135*)

Warriors 239/5 (Ingram 120)

Knights won by 13 runs.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
