Narrow escape for Paul Adams

Cape Town - Former Proteas spinner, Paul Adams, who is widely tipped to be named the next Cape Cobras coach on Tuesday, had a narrow escape while driving last Sunday.

Adams tweeted: Brick just thrown into my windscreen on the N2 in Cape Town! Thank god not injured. Beware people.

Adams added that he wasn't injured and thankfully the brick didn't go through the windscreen.

Adams, 35, is reported to be the favourite for the Cape Cobras job after the position was left vacant after Richard Pybus resigned in March this year.

Western Province's amateur coach Salieg Nackerdien is rumoured to be the only other realistic contender for the position.
