NZC chair to step down

Moller, who is also a former chairperson of the New Zealand Rugby Union, has been chairperson for three years and a director for five years and said he was happy to relinquish "a hugely time-consuming role."

But Moller, along with three directors who will not seek re-election, had faced pressure to step aside to allow renewal of the board amid allegations of poor governance.

The botched sacking last year of national captain Ross Taylor focused attention on what seemed to be failures at board level and led to calls for former players to take a role in cricket's administration.
