Cape Town - Spectators wishing to purchase tickets on for the upcoming Mzansi Super League (MSL) tournament have been left baffled - and disappointed - when attempting to do so.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) proudly announced late last month that tickets for all 32 matches would "cost from R50" and would be available through www.ticketpros.co.za and across all TICKETPRO retail outlets - Edgars, Jet, CNA and Spar across the country.

However, a quick search on the Ticketpro website on Wednesday revealed a different story.

Fans wishing to attend the tournament opener between the Cape Town Blitz and Tshwane Spartans at Newlands on Friday (19:00 start) can purchase tickets on the Oaks grass embankment for R40 - but only if you're a pensioner or between the ages of 3-18.

Everyone else will have to fork out R80.

A similar situation exists for the various stands where adults will be asked to part with R130 to attend.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
