More injury woes for De Lange

Johannesburg - Marchant de Lange has been withdrawn from the SA 'A' team as a precautionary measure, Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed on Tuesday.

"We hope to have Marchant playing again within a few weeks," said CSA Medical Committee chairperson Shuaib Manjra.

De Lange had only recently made his comeback after being out of action since June last year with a stress fracture injury in his back.

He was taken off the field during SA 'A's first-class match against Australia 'A' in Rustenburg last Thursday.

Scans later revealed a rib injury for which he would be treated by a specialist.
