Warriors include Ntini

Port Elizabeth - Axed Proteas paceman Makhaya Ntini, has been named in the Chevrolet Warriors' squad to face the Nashua Titans in an MTN40 cricket fixture at SuperSport Park Centurion on Friday.

Ntini, dropped from the South African team for the current third Test against England at Sahara Park Newlands, is the only change to a Warriors squad of 13 trying to come to terms with a three-match losing streak.

Ntini will be determined to show he still has what it takes to be a force in South African cricket after disappointing performances in the first and second Tests against England.

Seamer Andrew Birch has made way for Ntini while former Lions fast bowler Garnett Kruger, is expected to miss out on the final 12.

The Titans have beaten the Warriors on three occasions this season already, and all three were in Port Elizabeth.

The Warriors squad is: Nicky Boje, Johan Botha, Colin Ingram, Arno Jacobs, Davy Jacobs (capt), Justin Kreusch, Garnett Kruger, Wayne Parnell, Jon-Jon Smuts, Juan Theron, Craig Thyssen, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Makhaya Ntini.

The latest log positions are: 1 Cobras 24 (8), 2 Titans 23 (6), 3 Eagles 9 (7), 4 Warriors 8 (5), 5 Dolphins 8 (5), 6 Lions 8 (7).
