Rain delays Proteas

Persistent rain at SuperSport Park in Centurion delayed the start of the first test between South Africa and India on Thursday.

The toss and announcement of teams has also been delayed. There are hopes that the weather will clear later in the day, but the situation at 10am did not look promising.

The only good news is that the outfield drains fast at SuperSport Park, and that the pitch remains well-protected while the teams and umpires await an improvement in the weather.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
