Proteas bowl first at Newlands as Malan debuts

Cape Town - England have won the toss and will bat first in the second Test against the Proteas at Newlands on Friday.

South Africa's team news was as expected, with opener Pieter Malan coming into the side to make his debut and replace the injured Aiden Markram in what was the only change. 

England, meanwhile, are without pace sensation Jofra Archer (elbow) and opener Rory Burns, who injured his ankle during a warm-up football match on Thursday.

South Africa lead the series 1-0 having won the first Test at Centurion by 107 runs.
