'Harry the Newlands Hadeda' takes social media by storm

Cape Town - During the second Test between the Proteas and England at Newlands, the lush grass was "patrolled" by 'Harry' the Hadeda.

LIVE | SA v England, 2nd Test - Day 5

The Hadeda has made his appearance every day during the Test in Cape Town and has spent much of the day prowling the outfield.

The bird appears oblivious to the ongoing cricket as he searches for worms.

There have been various instances where play has stopped with the bird in line with the bowler running up, prompting the South African or England fielders to chase him off.

'Harry' has gone viral on social media and even boasts his very own Twitter account!

'Harry the Newlands Hadeda' has just over 100 followers, but is worth a 'follow' for his one-liner quips.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
