London - Apparently, this is set to be a scorching hot English summer.
The Proteas, though, were greeted by overcast skies and a chill in the air when they took to The Oval turf in London on Tuesday ahead of their tournament opener against hosts England on Thursday.
The South Africans seem relaxed and in good spirits, with a few light-hearted games and a now-familiar game of footy kicking off proceedings.
The major talking point this week is the fitness of Dale Steyn, who has been battling an injured shoulder since he returned home from the IPL last month.
An update on Steyn is expected later on Thursday, but the good news is that he was fully involved in the early stages of training on Thursday, going on to complete a series of fielding drills that required him to throw the ball in from the boundary.
If Steyn doesn't play on Thursday, then the Proteas are likely to look to one of Chris Morris or Dwaine Pretorius to play on Thursday.
Other than that, the Proteas look to have a fully fit squad to choose from.
