Cape Town - Sri Lanka seam bowler Nuwan Pradeep will not play in Tuesday's game against Bangladesh after suffering a training injury.

He suffered a dislocated finger which was treated at a local hospital following a shot by batsman Kusal Perea, as the team prepared for their game in Bristol on Tuesday.

Although he managed to get his hand in the way, the seamer suffered a blow to his finger on his bowling hand and team-mates gathered round to see the severity of the injury.

The 32-year-old has been ruled out of action for a week meaning he will definitely miss the Bangladesh clash and could also miss the game against Australia at the Oval next Saturday.

Team manager Asthana de Mel said: "Nuwan was given treatment at the hospital while the doctors reset his dislocated finger and the cut on his finger was closed with stitches."

It is a blow for the Sri Lankans with Pradeep gaining his best ever figures at ODI level after getting four for 31 in their win over Afghanistan last Tuesday.
