London - South Africa were wearing their alternative kits for Sunday's World Cup clash against Bangladesh at The Oval, but that is not the only reason they looked like the 'away' team.

LIVE: Proteas v Bangladesh

In the hours leading up to the start of play, Bangladesh supporters arrived at the ground in droves and by the time everyone had taken their seats, a sea of Bangladeshi green and red had taken over the stands of one of the game's most iconic venues.

South Africa are desperate for victory after going down to tournament hosts England on Thursday, but they will once again feel the presence of a vocal crowd that wants them to lose.

South Africa won the toss and opted to field first, and in the early stages of Bangladesh's innings every run scored was greeted by a loud cheer.

Sport24 spent some time on the outskirts of the stadium before the start of play and snapped a couple of Bangladesh supporters making their way to their seats.
