Cape Town - Proteas star AB de Villiers removed all doubt as to who is the top ODI batsman against the West Indies in their Pool B Cricket World Cup clash at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday.

De Villiers faced 66 balls in smashing 162 not out as the Proteas chalked up 408/5 in their allotted 50 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat.

The Windies were bundled out for a paltry 151, giving the Proteas victory by a staggering 257 runs.

De Villiers set a record for the fastest ODI 150 and the second fastest century.
