Scorchers do Titans a favour

Cape Town - The Perth Scorchers dumped the Auckland Aces out of the Champions League T20 on Tuesday, which means South Africa's Titans are through to the semi-finals.

Full scorecard

Slow left-armer Michael Beer claimed a career-best three for 13 and received good support from Joe Mennie (two for 23) to restrict the Aces to 124 for eight in pursuit of their 141 victory target.

The Australian side's win means the Titans cannot not be caught by the Aces anymore, putting the South Africans through as one of the top two sides in Group A even before their final match against the Delhi Daredevils later on Tuesday.
