Chennai add trophy to cabinet

Johannesburg - Chennai Super Kings cruised to an eight-wicket victory over the Warriors in the final of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament at the Wanderers on Sunday.

Chennai reached 132-2 with six balls to spare after restricting the South African team to 128-7.

Openers Murali Vijay and Mike Hussey both made half-centuries as Chennai dominated the tournament decider, to add the Champions League title to its IPL trophy.

Vijay hit 58 and Hussey made 51 not out and put together a 103-run opening partnership, with Vijay ending as the highest scorer at the tournament.

Spinners Muttiah Muralitharan and Ravichandran Ashwin had earlier combined for five wickets to hold the Warriors to the below-par total.
