Cape Town - Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Saturday congratulated South Africa Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) president, Gideon Sam, on his election as vice-president of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF).
His election took place at the CGF congress on the island of St. Kitts and Nevis this week.
“This is another feather in the cap for South African sports administration on the international stage,” commented CSA acting president AK Khan, “and it will bring many benefits to South African sport across many codes.
“We send our heartiest congratulations to Sam for a richly deserved honour. He is one of our country’s most experienced administrators, having headed SASCOC since 2008 and having previously headed the swimming and triathlon codes.”
