Cape Town - Former South Africa all-rounder Johan Botha has signed with the Sydney Sixers for the next three Big Bash League seasons.

According to the Fox Sports website, Botha, 32, joins the Sixers from the Adelaide Strikers and his announcement comes a day after the Sixers added Jackson Bird to their squad.

Botha has played for South Africa in all three formats of the game, making his Test debut at the SCG in 2006, and has played 78 ODIs and 40 T20 Internationals.

In the IPL he has played for the Rajasthan Royals and the Delhi Daredevils and he will join the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel in this year’s Caribbean Premier League.
