THE Indian Premier League clash between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Delhi Daredevils was abandoned due to rain at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru yesterday. Bangalore had faced just 1.1 overs in their pursuit of 188 when the rain came down and prevented play after Delhi had posted 187 for five.
Bangalore needed the victory to assure themselves of second spot on the log and a place in the first eliminator against the Chennai Super Kings but the single point moves them above the Rajasthan Royals and third place on the log. — SuperSport
