Johannesburg - South Africa’s Jacques Kallis became only the fourth batsman to score 12 000 Test runs before his dismissal in the fourth over after lunch, on the opening day of the second Test against Australia at the Wanderers on Thursday.
Only Sachin Tendulkar (15 048), Rahul Dravid (12 860) and Ricky Ponting (12 495) have amassed more runs.
At tea, South Africa were 213/4 with AB de Villiers unbeaten on 51 and Ashwell Prince on 34.
