De Kock gets Test call-up

Port Elizabeth - Highveld Lions batsman, Quinton de Kock, has been called up into the Proteas' Test squad as batting cover for Alviro Petersen who is struggling with a viral infection.

In a statement released by CSA, De Kock will return to his franchise if Petersen is fit to play.

A decision on Petersen's availability will be made tomorrow before the toss.

Opening the batting, De Kock scored centuries in three consecutive innings against India in December.

If he is selected he will likely take over as wicketkeeper from AB de Villiers.

Australia lead the three-Test series 1-0.
