Bookies back Proteas

Cape Town - Despite 23 wickets falling on the second day of the first Test match between South Africa and Australia at Newlands on Thursday, the bookies are backing Graeme Smith’s men to win the most extraordinary of Test matches.

Needing 155 runs to win, the Proteas will be looking for a trouble-free start to the day, knowing there is no rush to get the runs, with 3 days left in the Test and are 2/10 favourites to win, according to the latest odds on BET.CO.ZA.

Australia are currently at 35/10 to win the Test match, pretty good value based on yesterday’s unbelievable scenes in Cape Town.

Unless the rest of the Test match is wiped out by rain, the draw at 150/1 seems the most unlikely of results.
