De Villiers fractured his left hand while playing in the Champions League T20 competition in September and has made a speedy recovery from surgery.
He is available for the Titans’ 1 Day Cup fixture against the Knights at Willowmoore Park in Benoni on Sunday.
“The hand specialist is very happy with the way AB’s hand has healed and responded to treatment after surgery,” commented Proteas team manager, Mohammed Moosajee.
“He will be available for the Titans on Sunday but will not keep wicket as a risk reduction measure.”
