Islamabad - Pakistan offspinner Saeed Ajmal has recovered from a suspected hernia scare and lost five kilograms in weight to prepare for next month's Champions Trophy in England.
The 35-year-old Ajmal felt pain in his lower abdomen after Pakistan's series against South Africa in March.
Ajmal, who has 125 ODI wickets at an average of 22.69 runs, says doctors gave him the go-ahead to play but also recommended getting further tests in England.
On the pitch, Ajmal predicts batting-friendly wickets during the June 6-23 Champions Trophy, but says he has enough bowling variety to surprise batsmen.
Pakistan is in Group B along with West Indies, South Africa and archrival India.
